The Bespoke Process

Step One: share your idea with us

Get in touch here and tell us a little about what you have in mind. It doesn't need to be fully formed - a feeling, an occasion, or even a piece of jewellery you've always loved is a great starting point. The more you can share about your budget and any materials or gemstones you have in mind, the better. If you're thinking about incorporating jewellery you already own, find out how that works here.

Step two: Let's talk it through

We'll arrange a consultation - either in person at our studio on Mill Street in Bideford, or over a video call, whichever is easiest for you. We'll talk through your ideas, look at references together and we'll start sketching out some initial directions. This is one of our favourite parts of the process and it's where things really start to take shape.

Step three: Design and quote

After our conversation we'll put together some sketches and ideas for you to look over. We'll refine until we've landed on a design you love. Once we're all happy, we'll send over a full quote covering materials and our time. A 50% deposit secures your commission and gets things moving.

Step four: Making your piece

This is where we get to do what we love. We'll make your jewellery entirely by hand at the bench here in the studio. Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the piece, so we'll always let you know what to expect. If your commission is a surprise for someone, rest assured we'll keep things under wraps.

Step Five: Your finished piece

Once your jewellery is complete, we'll be in touch. You can choose to see images first or go straight to the surprise - most people can't resist a sneak peek! Your piece will be delivered via a fully insured, tracked service, or you're welcome to collect from the studio.
