Hi, I’m Amy, founder of Amy Eira Jewellery. (Eira is my middle name which I love and is pronounced Ay-ruh). I am happiest when I’m at my bench creating jewellery. Sometimes I have no idea what I’m going to make when I sit down, and that’s often the best thing for me. I like to let my creativity take over and see where it takes me. One of my favourite things to do is create one-off pieces using beautiful gemstones. Often it’s the case that I only have one of each of these beautiful stones and as such it makes these one-off pieces all the more precious as there is only one.

I’ve always been a creative person but along the way my creativity got lost in ‘paying the bills’ jobs. Now I find myself in a very fortunate position where I am able to run my own business and do what I love every day…

Over the years I have gained extensive experience and I have been very lucky in finding a mentor in a friend, Christine. She took me into her workshop and taught me how to create jewellery using a wide range of techniques, traditional and modern. I owe my practical jewellery making skills to her.

Amy Eira Jewellery is a hive of activity, a productive and skilled team who have always got many projects on the go at once. It’s a buzz to be around on a daily basis. 

It’s almost impossible to think that my little biz used to be just me, my old kitchen table, some box fresh tools and a brand new apron set up in our spare bedroom. 

Now we are a strong team of four, with a combined jewellery experience of 25+years between us. Chatting to clients daily about their most precious possessions in our Mill Street shop and workshop, it's honestly a pleasure to be a part of and know that our wonderful clients love to visit us as much as we love seeing them. 

We have big plans for the future and I can't wait to share them all with you, and for you to be part of our journey, as so many of you have invited us along to be a small part of your journey. Allowing us to create jewellery that signifies an important moment in your life or to celebrate the lives of your loved ones. 

It's an exciting time here and I'm just so grateful our lovely clients keep us so busy.
